Misc

I like taking pictures, cooking stuff, and getting active.

I used to ride bikes around pre-college days just for commute. So I like bikes (look at this funny urban hardtail I built), but was not a “cyclist.” Jokes aside, I am becoming one though, now I mainly ride my gravel bike (which converts to a road bike upon a wheel swap) around.

I also like hiking. I am a beginner in backpacking, but I am really excited to do more backpacking trips in the future. My current goal is to explore more of the Sierra Nevada. Some of my favorite hikes are Savage Alpine Trail in late summer/early fall at Denali National Park, Harding Icefield Trail at Kenai Fjords National Park, Sol Duc/High Divide Trail at Olympic National Park, and Skyline Trail at Mount Rainier National Park.

Got some pictures too.

I like data, and these are the things over which I don’t worry about privacy too much :D.

Photography? Yeah, I do have a standalone Instagram photography account as any photography-influencer-wannabe. What’s wrong with that though?

PS: Well you can say Instagram picture quality is pretty bad. I am also starting to get tired of Instagram as a platform as a whole. But since the whole point of social media is to post something for others to see, I have little incentive to make a Flickr page. Maybe you can introduce me to some groups.

Cooking? Ha, I am almost too lazy to document anything most of the time. I’ll post surely post something sometime. I can do Chinese, French, Italian, some Spanish, some middle eastern, some southeast Asian food. You just have to take my words for it.

Some favorite dishes: Chimichurri (I make a pretty good one); small pot rice noodles (that too); anything pork belly I guess?

Other than that, I sometimes ramble. Here lie some of my random thoughts in blog format. I do not claim to be a seasoned writer, especially in non-technical writing. But I have always wanted to write something. I have wondered where mid-size thought snippets fit the atmosphere of the platform and do not impose too much barrier to people to read (should they actually want to). I come to the conclusion that most social platforms are too promotional and have this or that login stuff. So I think, just do the old schooled way. It is just really random thoughts anyway.
